    Turtle Beach Elite 800x Dolby atmos setup on Xbox one X


    Has anyone else got Turtle Beach elite 800x setup on their Xbox one X. I have setup according to the website. but what setting should be on the headphone eq preset be set to. I have currently set it to stereo mode and set Xbox to Dolby Atmos via optical
    cable.

    Also my Xbox is set to instant on, saves waiting for updates. My headphones transmitter remains on even after charging. and even when Xbox is switched off.

    Is it normal for the headphones transmitter to remain on unless I unplug the usb lead or unplug my Xbox from mains. Does the headphones transmitter not have auto power off after charging, and then come on if you lift off headphones or turn on Xbox or turn
    on headphones. It's a bit annoying if I have to unplug and plug in usb power lead to turn off or on headphones transmitter.

    has anyone else had any experience with these headphones?

    Xbox One S Audio Stuck on Headset Profile

    Unfortunately, that did not work. After several power resets, hard reboots and nearly a complete factory restore, I found this to work. For some a power reset is sufficient. It may also have something to do with the Dolby Atmos Headphone setting as
    it originally would not allow any default headphone format. I have the Turtle Beach 800X Elite which sounds great with the Dolby Atmos but with no HDMI audio selection, no theater sound - just plain compressed stereo.

    It looks like Turtle Beach is recommending to not
    use Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos per
    this link    . I would suggest reaching out to them to see if there is a work around to get the 3D sound. If there is and you're using the optical cable, it would be to go to headset audio, and use optical settings to push the Atmos. Then you would need to
    make sure your x800 headset is receiving only stereo. Other than that I would suggest reaching out to Turtle Beach as perhaps it's not something the x800 can push.

    Surround Sound Headset

    I like the Turtle Beach Stealth 700. It uses Windows Sonic for surround sound, and is Dolby Atmos compatible.

    The Stealth 800X is 7.1 surround, and can be found on sale for around $180

    Most of the rest of the Xbox Surround Sound Headsets run above the $200 mark.
