    Turning off XBox Advertisment via Chat


    Hi there,

    I already googled around a little bit and sadly didn't find a method of turning off Advertising of XBox Live Products and Game Pass News via Chat Messages. Since I'm a Customer on Xbox and on PC (Game Pass Ultimate), I always get these Messages to my Xbox Game Bar which permanently runs in the background on my PC because you cannot turn it off. That means, I will recieve a Notification Sound aswell which always annoyes me and frankly since I already pay for the services anyways I do not wish to get Advertisement for them and find it unacceptable that there is no clear way to turn this "service" off.

    Is there any hidden way of turning these off completly?

    I immidiatly deleted the Chat, so I can't, but it shows up as a Chat in the Social Tab just like Chats with my Friends. I usually get a Message like this once a month or so, sometimes more. So it's not super often, but really annoying. I also get a Notification in the Xbox App as long as I don't click on it or delete it.

    If you're not using the game bar, you can uninstall it manually:

    Right-click on the Start button and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) from the pop-up menu.

    Copy and paste the following command in PowerShell and hit Enter to uninstall the Game Bar from your system.

    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

    you can turn off notiifications for Xbox and that should prevent it.

    Thank you very much, I tried all these things. With the last link, I could deactivate some functions, the rest was already deactivated. I hope it was what I was looking for, will see in a couple of weeks :)
