Turning off game notificatikns on NXOE

Discus and support Turning off game notificatikns on NXOE in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I've had game notifications turned off for ages (can't stand the pointless popups covering areas of the screen where something important is happening)....     Turning off game notificatikns on NXOE


    I've had game notifications turned off for ages (can't stand the pointless popups covering areas of the screen where something important is happening). This was fine until the new (lacklustre) experience update. Now the popups are back even though game and
    messaging notifications are turned off in my preferences...

    Xbox is pretty much dysfunctional.

    Are you on the NXOE update? and have you tried power cycling your console? Turning it off, unplugging it, leaving it for 10 mins and then plugging it back in and trying again?

    Xbox Interface performance hit when using "Instant On"

    i'll have to try turning off instant on, ever since the NXOE all my videos have been stuttering pausing every 1 second or so on all video apps other than netflix. i'll post back what i find out tonight.

    Go to those same settings you mention, enable them and back out then go back in and disable them again. Should solve your problem.

    Seems the update didn't recognize the state of some settings. Had this on mine for a different setting and doing the steps above sorted it out.

    Didn't help. The only way I can get it to not notify me about achievements is by turning all notifications off.

    Try a hard reset by holding down the power button on the front of the console until it turns off & then unplugging it from the mains for at least 5 minutes.

    After 5 minutes try re starting it.

    Anything else to do with the NXOE needs to go in the forum I've linked.

    Hi CharlieboyX,

    Sounds like you've enabled Narrator from the menu where you power the console off. If you open your NXOE app there is a quest to try narrator. Try running through that to turn it off. If you cannot turn off this feature I would re-posting in the Preview
