    Hi fellow Xbox Enthusiasts.

    I have an Xbox Series X connected to my Vizio Tv via HDMI. When I hold the home button and choose to turn off the console, inexplicably, it makes my other device (NVIDIA SHIELD TV) get a black screen. If I choose to do the full shutdown in the Series X settings, I do not have this problem. When it occurs if I then do a reboot of my Tv, I get video from the Nvidia Shield again. I'm thinking its some sort of weird HDMI handshake issue, but I really have no idea. I have tried turning off the ARC/HDMI control options in both the Shield, and the Xbox, to no avail. I am using a 4K approved cable (the cable that had come with my Xbox one x). Not sure if I am required to use the specific cable that came with the Series X (pretty sure its the same cable that came with the One X). Kind of an annoying problem. If anyone has any insights i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance for your help.

    It happens on all ports (no matter the combination) i've switched the ports of both devices.

    Its just the port with the Shield that goes black. I can see the Shield is still on too when this happens. I have tried switching ports already.

    It seems like an issue is with your Vizio TV's HDMI part. When you shut off the console, all the TV's ports loses power, turning off the Shield TV as well. Quite a weird issue, I'll suggest reaching out to the Device OEM for assistance and troubleshooting.

    My Xbox One Isn't working properly.

    Same black screen. Power display shows on, my Tv HDMI input shows receiving signal but black screen on xbox. Home button shows it’s there and option to turn console off or controller off but that is all I can do. Smh !
