Trying unenroll Xbox from Update Preview but it says “Already Registered!”

It is not possible to unenroll during a preview wave.

At the moment the October preview wave is already rolling. So you will have to wait until the October update gets public. You will be unenrolled then and will not get any more preview updates.

Thank you for the reply. I already came across the thread you mentioned hence what I mentioned what I attempted.

I believe the core problem is xbox insider isn't registering that I want to "unenroll." As mentioned I try to unenroll via the xbox insider app however it doesn't unenroll me. When on the "Insider content" page Minecraft app continues to say "Joined"

Are you in the preview program by any chance?

I had this the other day after an update. When I checked, I had been in the preview program. Unenrolling fixed it. Best thing to do would be to unenrol from the program and see if the problem persists. Bare in mind that after you unenrol, you will have to
run through the initial setup of your xbox again.

it seems that your friend didn't unregister the console from the preview. If he still has an Xbox One console he should be able to unregister it for you, if not then he should login to your console with his xbox live account, start the registration app and
he should be able to unenroll the console.

After the console was succesfully unenrolled (this may take until the end of the current preview wave (April) you should be able to register it via your account.

Now is the time for you to unenroll from the preview programme KIRu8 if you feel you are getting too many updates.

The programme is obviously not for you.

Just use the preview dashboard app to unenroll and after the March update goes public you'll be back to one update a month.

The preview for March is very near a public release, that's why I suggested you maybe should decide now.

You're not alone in not realising there are many frequent daily updates in the preview programme.
