    Trying to use my Xbox One for the first time but it stalls in the updating stage


    Hi! As I try to install and use my Xbox One S for the first time, it says there was a mistake and it cannot connect to the wifi, however , all my other devices are online.

    The error is

    0x80072EE7 0x00000000 0x00000200

    As I fix the connection, it logs but then automatically disconnects.

    Why is that?

    "There was a problem with the update"

    Been trying to set up the xbox one, got to the stage saying 'Its time to update" where you select your wireless connection. It begins updating then crashes and comes up with "there was a problem with the update". Tried over and over nothing will fix it

    Cannot access Private Beta Register Page?

    Funny thing is while trying to get to the actual update/registration page to get the key it kept stalling and stalling and stalling and I was ready to give up and try another time till I changed from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and it ran like clockwork.
    Got my key in seconds.......got my 360 registered and now am waiting for the download. OK......isn't Explorer part of the updated dash???? Not a good start if I had to use Chrome to get in! LOL!!!!

    Is your console in instant on mode?

    Sounds like your console could be glitching due errors in RAM that can build up over time when using instant on mode. This is because instant on is a type of standby mode where it never fully shuts down keeping any errors or glitches in memory.

    Try a full reboot.

    Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the console shuts down and the light on the power brick turns orange.

    Once light on brick turns orange you should disconnect the power and leave it uplugged for a few minutes. This will clear any errors in RAM that can be causing the game to crash.

    Issues with updating/downloading

    I'm having the same issue. Trying to download an update and it keeps stalling out . Message screen says "there was a problem with the update" and gives me the option to try again, check network connection or turn off Xbox. I've been troubleshooting for
    the past few hours using the guide on this site and have done everything except offline system update. I have a wired connection and have done multiple speeds tests averaging 25-30 Mbps download. Is my Day One Xbox One a brick?
