Trying to unlink an account that I forgot the credentials to

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you have an existing Microsoft account that is linked to your console. Are you only PlayStation? If yes, what I would recommend is to create a new PSN account where you could link your new Minecraft account.

According to Minecraft's policy, once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PlayStation account, neither the Microsoft account nor the PlayStation Network account can be associated with a different account.

If you choose to unlink accounts, then purchases will be returned to the account which made the purchase. Even after unlinking, Microsoft and PlayStation accounts can only be re-linked to the original account. It cannot be unlinked without loss of access to entitlements and Minecoins on other platforms.

I want to make sure that you will get all the assistance that you need. Since you forgot your old Minecraft credentials, I recommend that you submit a ticket directly to Minecraft support so you can be guided by Minecraft specialists and see if you can verify your account ownership.

The only way to unlink an account from a profile is to use the unlink function in accounts and linking. To verify you are the owner of the account it does require you to authenticate the unlink by entering the credentials for the account you wish to remove. If you do not know the credentials nor can obtain the credentials then you will never be able to remove that account from that Bungie profile.

Definately not unlinking from the console, so I guess unlinking from a family account.

Can this be done without having the credentials of the parent account?

In regards to the transfer, I know games cannot be transferred, but what about achievements etc. ...?

I've unlinked the account which has none of my items. Whenever I try to log into the account that does have all my cosmetics skins etc I get the error "Sorry there was an error processing the credentials from the external login system
