Discus and support Trying to talk to other online players in fortnite in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I was wondering how do I talk to other players.     I was wondering how do I talk to other players. Do I need a certain headset or can I use any. N if I can use any how do I set it up.

    Why is fortnite need a Gold live Make it free

    I subscribe to Xbox Live Gold yet I do not play Fortnite. Why should I subsidize players who just play Fortnite? Why should those players get a free ride? They are using Xbox Live's services, and thus should pay for them. What other services (PlayStation
    Network, Switch Online) do is immaterial.

    Online Newbie - How do you talk to other players

    It depends on your situation. If you want to talk to other players using Destiny's comms system, they'd need to be in your fireteam, and you can invite them by selecting them and clicking Invite to Fireteam from the menu (if you're stood next to them in
    game), or pausing to bring up the customisation etc menus, then going left to your friends/player list and doing it that way.

    Alternatively, you can invite the player(s) to the Xbox Party chat, in which they'd be able to speak directly to you - though this can be an issue if you then both go into a game in a fire team together, in which case you're better off both leaving the party
    and continuing communication through the fire team chat. Hope this helps. SxF.

    Suggestion To Benefit Xbox Gamers

    Sorry but that will never happen.

    Yes Sony and Nintendo may allow players to play games like Fortnite online for free, but that has never been something Microsoft has done. From the very beginning Xbox Live Gold was always require to play online.

    My only suggestion is if you want to play games like Fortnite online for free perhaps you should look at other suppliers of consoles.

    Xbox Live Gold is required for online multiplayer content. Games you purchase that have single-player components do not require Xbox Live Gold to run in single-player or other offline modes (like couch co-op). However, games with significant online components
    (like Overwatch and Fortnite) will require Gold as part of their usage.
