Trying to sign in to PlayStation. (Minecraft) and it’s sending me to Xbox instead?

So, I’m trying to create a mojang account or connect my Microsoft account to Minecraft and everytime is sign in to ANY account. It sends me to a Xbox Live website Instead of PlayStation.

I’m not sure what to do.

Every account does the same thing. And it’s really annoying.

Since Xbox is part of a Microsoft service it will direct you to the page to login. Haven't really tried to play Minecraft on PS yet but I can say it should be the same with other devices for signing in.

Based here on Minecraft FAQ's website: A Microsoft account is not required to play Minecraft on PS:tm:. It does allow Minecraft players on PS:tm: to play with other players on non-PS:tm: devices like Android, iOS, Switch, Windows 10, and Xbox One.

I'm sorry for being indirect.

Let me reiterate one last time.

I'm trying to access the "Realms" part of Minecraft on the Playstation 5. For that you need either a Mojang account or a Microsoft account.

I tired using a Microsoft account to login to it but it only takes me to a Xbox website while I'm trying to sign in on Playstation.

That's the problem and I'm seeing if maybe it's a glitch or something like that.

It is possible that the Microsoft account you created doesn't have an Xbox gamertag yet. Since Minecraft is tied to Xbox Live service now, a gamertag is necessarry to connect.

Try to login the Microsoft account you created to create an Xbox username/gamertag here https://account.xbox.com/profile page. Once done, try going back to the game and login to your account.

because minecraft is microsoft/xbox, to sign into minecraft you sign into xbox live, even on playstation.

That would solve the problem.

But I'm trying to sign into an account on Playstation 5.

It's only taking me to xbox.

Does creating an xbox gamertag also connect to Playstation?
