    Trying to rename a folder in "WpSystem" to its original name


    Hello,

    I tried to rename a folder in "WpSystem" for Microsoft Flight Simulator because when I was installing addons, it said the file path was too long,



    So two problems I want to solve:

    • Find the original file name for the first folder (I have two, the second one is named "S-1-5-(and so on, I don't want to repeat it in case it is a store key or something)"
    • Find a way to shorten the file name so I can install addons,

    [UPDATE ONE] : I renamed it back to its original file name, now I am just wondering if there is any way I can make the file name shorter so I can download addons, many thanks Trying to rename a folder in "WpSystem" to its original name :)

    i accidentally renamed a folder inside wpsystem on my f drive and now it says The security ID structure is invalid and i can´t open it. Please Help!

    Rename the root folder wpsystem to wpsystems

    Go to that folder that was renamed, and rename it the original name.

    Once complete, go back to the root folder wpsystems and rename to wpsystem.

    Problem should be resolved.

    Try this please, go to disk D: using File explorer and look for a folder named "WpSystem" (If that folder isn't there, then this solution will probably not help you)

    (it is located at the same tree level as "Program Files")

    Delete or rename the WpSystem folder
