Trying to recover an old xbox 360 account

Hi,

I've been having quite a headache trying to recover my old xbox 360 account.

I know the gamertag and I think I know the email I used for it but I may be wrong as it's been many years.

I've tried the account recovery ACSR and I was successful and I reset the password and when I tried to log in it said we'll send a verification to the email that I'm trying to recover and it's just such a loop I am stuck in.

Is there anyone that can offer any advice?

Contact support. As long as you can verify you are the owner of the account, they can get you the email. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Have you tried the "customer support" option? That will have you fill out questions about the windows live id to go to that team. They will check your submissions and either issue a password reset or not.

Unfortunately, the Windows LIVE team is the only group that can reset your password.
