    I'm trying to play a purchased multiplayer game on two Xbox's in my house with my son. We both have game pass plans. Do I also have to buy two copies of the game? That'd be ridiculous.

    I also have this problem and have for a while. I am trying to play Farming Simulator with my son in the same house. I also get the connection error.

    i can create a multiplayer game myself and same with my son but we cant join the others game.

    Play against other profiles

    Are you trying to play online multiplayer?

    If so you can't use offline profiles. Your son and wife would need to either play with their own gold profiles or as guests.

    On not familiar with whatever game you are trying but it would need a local only multiplayer mode that is separate from the online multiplayer for local accounts to work
