Trying to play GoW Ultimate Edition without changing regional language

This is a giant mess. So GoW Ultimate Edition has no launch setting to change the language of the game (in my case from german to english). Trying to access the game folder to manually change the boot localization requires certain permissions - fair enough.

But it doesn't stop there, trying to rename the german localization file is not possible because Windows 10 will ask you to give yourself permissions. Yep, thats right. I've set the correct user, with full access, permissions etc. yet Windows simply refuses
- however I can delete the localization file but then can't restore it to the folder again without Windows once more asking me to give myself permissions. (Which I obviously can't do.)

So now GoW Ultimate Edition won't even boot anymore unless I change my display and regional settings to English, which in turn messes up my entire key layout.

So does anyone have a fix for this, is this a known issue?

Try some help from the support, explain your problem, maybe they can help you.

That's not changing your region or language. That's your locale on your console. The only way to change the account region language would be by going to the link I gave you above and following the directions under Change your Xbox LIVE account language.
You followed the directions for Change your Xbox 360 console language.

The console language does not affect the language of the game it's only for family settings and WiFi settings if you use those two things. The Xbox LIVE account language is what's going to affect the language of the game and your account.

But as I said, ultimately it's up to the developer to make it so there are multiple language options from within the games menu. Without those two options available to you, you will not be able to change the language of a.) your account (if there's no preferred
language drop down) or b.) change the language of the game (if there's no settings to change the game language).

BTW, support actually wanted me to now go buy GOW 4 Ultimate Edition to get the codes I was supposed to get with GOW Ultimate 2015. What then, wait 10 more months and then buy GOW 5?
