    Trying to Opt Out of Update Preview


    As the title suggests, I'm trying to opt out of the program, but for whatever reason I can't. I keep getting a message pop up saying that I'm "already registered" and that I need to "sign in with the account that signed up for the program."

    I assume it means to sign in to the account that my xbox is homed, but even then I'm not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated.

    Forced updates during gameplay/app usage

    It you are in the insider/preview program you should consider opting out to reduce the number of updates.
    Thats a great point thanks, I attempted to opt out in the past but the steps to opt out seemed over complicated and not worth the time but I'll try again and at least that will minimize the amount of updates.

    To Opt out off Preview start up th XBOX preview dashboard then go to registrastion and remove your xbox from the programme after the new update rolls out to the public youll be opted out

    There is an option in the preview app to opt out of the update preview. It's completely optional.

    However, when the update is complete, it will be rolled out to everyone on Xbox Live.
