Trying to leave family group but I have some difficulties with it

To see the option to leave the family group, you need to have an Adult Account.

Your Xbox account age starts from the Date of Birth you entered when creating your profile online.

Once you hit 18, it becomes an adult account automatically. Just make sure your birthday on the account is correct.

If the date matches, but you are still under a child's account, the best course of action is to contact Support and provide the necessary information to validate your date of birth.

And are you two the only member of the family group? If yes, you can try just leaving the group.

Did you try to change these settings at xbox.com/privacy? And is your account listed at 18 years or older, or did it age up into adult status and was previous a child account?

There are several different ways for family members and organizers to leave or be removed from a Microsoft family group depending on their role.

To remove yourself you can try:
1. Using a web browser, sign in to family.microsoft.com
2. Click next to your name and select Leave family group.
3. Select Remove to confirm.

If the above does not work, your mom may have to try recover her account and remove you from the family group.

Hi, this can be a bit odd but can you try leaving the family group and try once you're alone?
(If you're the only family organizer in the group please add first another account as family organizer (or you can create a new one for this purpose)

If everything looks good outside the family group. Go back to the group and try again once you're in (don't forget to add yourself as family organizer)
