Trying to learn about destiny...

Hello, I love mmorpgs and was wondering how exactly destiny is a mmorpgs? Every video I see looks like it's another call of duty... Only thing that seems different is you can customize your clothes..

hey there,

I would suggest trying all the tutorial mission in the game prior to going online. This will give you a good base for skills. once you do that, try out the survival missions. there fun and have a variety of difficulties hope this helps

Destiny is a hybrid of an MMORPG. It is strong in some areas that make up an MMORPG while lacking in others. It has a very strong focus on PVE while trying to keep the massive online part strong. In normal patrol areas you will constantly run across other
guardians in the world going about their business fighting the darkness like yourself. I do agree the RPG elements are weak, but Bungie does not tote the game as an MMORPG. It is more like a 'large multiplayer online, story based, first person shooter with
a hint of rpg'.

The only mmorpg part of it is basically the raids (and patrols) but you can beat them mind numbingly easily. You can even solo 2 of them. If you like mmorpgs this isnt one, its a shooter. The pvp is totally seprate from the pve, theres no pvp area. The
rpg elemnts are very weak indeed.
