Trying to get an Xbox Controller to connect to Win11

Need some assistance, because this keeps happening every time I need to restart my machine.

Newish (2-3 months) Xbox controller.

Connecting through Xbox Wireless adapter.

Tried 6 different pairs of batteries.

Updated via USB to newest firmware.

Worked like a champ about 12 hours ago, needed to reboot the machine since then.

For the life of me I cannot get it to stay on post re-pairing to the machine. I've also moved the wireless adapter to multiple ports. And re-installed the adapter drivers.

Since I moved to Win11 I have had nothing but issues with this. My wife's controller will pick up on my machine and we keep getting cross talk between devices. If we can get them to pair.

My last controller worked on win10 for like 6 years with no issues, and without the need for constant re-pairing and firmware updates.

Some please give me some help here because I'm about ready to just burn the thing to the ground.

I am extremely sorry for the issue you are facing... To be honest (also as an Windows technical Advisor) I will suggest to return back or reinstall Winsows 10 untill it retired because Wimdows 11 have many issue related to firmware and device compatibility. Update and troubleshooting in Windows 11 solve the issue as temporary.

I hope this will help, if you want the steps to reinstall Windows 10, I will. Share the same. Moreover, I will wait for your valuable response.

I'm having the exact same issue. Using the latest drivers for Win11, updated firmware on controller via Xbox Accessories app.

Whenever I turn the controller on, the Xbox logo just blinks about once per second. When I try to pair via Bluetooth in Win11 settings (after holding the pair button on the controller so that the Xbox logo blinks rapidly), I get an error that says: No response from device.

Can anyone else help out here?
