Trying to get a new password on Xbox one

I forgot what email I used to create my Xbox account (this email for this Microsoft is not connected with it)

I only know my gamertag, so I tried to add my gamertag onto my new Xbox and go to “forgot password” it says enter in the characters I have been getting them right for an hour now non stop. It just keeps making me re-enter new characters every time. I even
purposely got one wrong and it says I got it wrong but when I get it right I have to keep doing it over and over. I’m getting really frustrated with it. Xbox is acting like it’s icloud or something making it impossible to recover things.

Any ideas why it’s doing this or other ideas to get my password changed. I’ve read ever account recovery and tried everything.

Password Problems

I have the authenticator app and the password for my Microsoft Account works on my tablet when logging in. I can't get the password to work on my new Xbox when trying to put in my password though. Any ideas what to do?

how do i find my account

i set up an account years ago for my son whos xbox recently broke his xbox automaticaly used to sign him in now he has a new xbox im trying to get his account on the new one but have forgotten what email address i used let alone remember the password help
please there must be away of getting the account info

Like WailXBL said once a change in password happens the next time someone tries to sign into your account on any Xbox One it will require the new password.

If they are already signed in the best thing to do is for you to sign into any Xbox One with the new password and this will sign them out of the console and then if they try and sign in it will require them to sign into the account with the new password.

On the mobile app xbox when you sign in you click on weclome then it ask you for a password it some think do with firmware On a new xbox one x when you get pass all software it give you password and i lost it I try reset my xbox but that

What happens if you try and use the Xbox App on your computer? What is the error message you get when that occurs?

You stated you can receive messages on the Xbox 360.

Try changing your password on your account but make sure it's not more than 15 characters in length otherwise the password won't work on a 360.

After you change the password on your account, do the hard reset it (press the power button down on the front of the Xbox One for 15 sec, then let it go and restart it)

Then sign back in with the new password and try and send messages again.

Have you tried a Console Reset yet?

Click on the words in blue Get a new email address and create an outlook email.

Complete the account setup and then add that account to your Xbox and try and send messages from the new account.

If the new account works then that's an indication that there's an issue with your profile and not the console.

If it is a Xbox One the best thing to do is to go to account.microsoft.com and change the password this will require ALL devices that the account is on to enter the new password the next time they try to sign into the account.

There is no way to remotely remove an account from an Xbox One.
