trying to find out if a gamertag will be available during the 24 hours

been trying to get this specific tag for 9 hours and just wanting to know if it will become available.

You can also try a different browser and if available try inPrivate browsing (via ctrl+shift+p).

If those things and trying it later (during 24 hours) doesn't help, please make a thread in the forums, with the things you tried so far.

 

Changing your xbox live gamer tag

I'm not sure anyone knows the exact timeframe it takes for the tag to become available. I've heard anywhere from 24 hours to up to 45 days.

There's no timer anywhere to find out when it would be available.

 

There's no way to find out if a tag will become available. All you can do is try changing it to that tag.

 

There will be thousands of gamer tags available. Each will be released in short burst so all can try to get ones they wanted for a while. as Smwutches said try and see if it was released. Keep in mind others are trying it too, so be fast on trying to get
