Trying to download a game update by am being told that there is a problem with the update.

This was told to me by one of the support staff that the console is trying to update and install the games at the same time. unplug the internet from the console down load game then let console after the download let the console update the file. What's
happening is the file/install is being corrupted by the update for the game. It worked for me try it? Let us know.

I am getting the exact same problem. I am being told it's because of 'behind the scenes updates' of the system and installed games and should be expected for a few days. It remains to be seen whether this is true though.

No but it told me that any interruptions to the download can cause problems.

I'd try clearing your caches, restarting your router, and re downloading the update...if that's possible.

I'm having a similar problem (among others) with Brink. Try clearing all the save data as suggested here. Also clear the cache. If that isn't working exchange for a new disc. Are updates for the game being downloaded? A problem I'm having is after the Brink
update is downloaded I get a corrupted data message.

This answer does not address or clarify the reasoning of having to re download the entire game for a small update. I am having the same problem and am having to download the entire game for an update that stated it was less than 1gb.
