Trying to connect Xbox One Kinect and it's not loading the correct drivers which is WDF...

if memory serves, you need to get a specific adapter for the PC that will provide the power. The Xbox one connect to the proprietary plug that one into the back of the Xbox one, and you need an adapter for the Xbox one S but also included a power brick that would also powered on PC

I have an adapter similar to this with a power supply and usb connection, is that not enough?

Hi there try this unplug the kinect go to settings then go to disc & blu-ray setting then go to clear persistant storage then hard reset. Then after that leave the Kinect out switch on the console let it load in then once loaded go to settings Kinect once
you have done that plug back in the Kinect wait a few mins this should if there is one download the latest Kinect drivers then recalibrate the Kinect making sure your audio is load but not to load as it will fail otherwise if this do's not work you will have
to wait as MS now about this.

Could you please double check that you have the updated/correct drivers for the Xbox One controller installed? If not, please follow the steps provided on the guide to

Connecting Your Xbox Controller to Your PC. If you do have the drivers installed, I would recommend removing those drivers and reinstalling them. Which brand of USB cable are you trying to use? Have you tried a different USB port on your Windows 10 PC?

Yes, others have had other issues with the Kinect.

There is a trick to try to get the Kinect working, and sometimes it works if there is no power to it (which is OS controlled).

Go to the Kinect settings and make sure the Kinect settings are off. Turn off the console by pushing the power button on the console (as with a hard reset). Unplug the Kinect. Power on the console normally. Once it is on, go to settings to make sure the
settings are still off. Power down the console normally and plug in the Kinect, Power on the console and put in a game that requires the Kinect. Once it loads it should ask you to configure the Kinect. If it can't, your OS is corrupted and the xbox console
plus Kinect has to be completely reset by wiping out the entire OS and starting fresh.

Usually what happens is the Kinect drivers are incompatible with the new software and force updating the Kinect has to be done. There are videos how to do this on YouTube, but often the OS in the console gets corrupted and won't allow the Kinect drivers
to load up and power up the sensor.
