Trying to change my account settings to child to adult

ive been trying to change my other account that says its a child account and im have been trying to change it to adult and ive tried all the way people have done it and says

well what if i cant access my xbox settings it only says error child trying to access settings and redirects me to a page on how an parent can change the settings even when my account is an adult account?...

You are trying to change an adult account to a child account? While the age of the account is determined by the DOB on said account, we can change the privacy settings for this account to have child-like privileges.
To do this, just navigate to Settings>Privacy & online safety>and make the appropriate changes their.

The only way for this to happen is for it to age into an adult account, the age it goes by is the original birthdate you put on the account.

 

Birthdates on an Xbox account are permanent. Changing the birthdate on account.microsoft.com will not change it on the Xbox account.
