Trying to change email associated with this account

Hello so I've been trying to figure out how to remove the email that is associated this account without deleting the old one. So my brother was in charge of my xbox when I was younger so he put his email but now that I am an adult I've been trying to change the email but the only option I see is removing the email deletes my brothers email address and he cant use that email is there any other options, thanks for the help.

Unfortunately that is the only way, since we do not have an option of migrating accounts.

Regarding your question, there is a way you can resolve your issue; which is to add an alias to the Xbox account you have and make it primary, once you make it primary your brother's e-mail will be a secondary e-mail and you do not have to remove it.

However, in this case it means that both accounts will be forever linked together since they will have the same information and password.

Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account | Xbox Support.

It would be best if you just create a new account and use your brothers account as home Xbox if you are using the console, so that he can share the games and subscriptions he has with you.

Hello,

It means you already have a Xbox Account associated to your Email you put in for your new account. Try using another email. Or change the email address of the account associated with the Email you are trying to use.
