My son is trying to buy an addition on fortnight and it is asking for a 6 digit pass key...I never set up a 6 digit number. Anyone else encounter this?

I never set up a 4 digit pass code. How can I delete this??? I have the gold account and I'm trying to download the free games but it asks for the 4 digit controller key pass code.

try this.

When you are prompted to enter your passkey on the console, enter any six-digit combination three times.

After you enter a passkey three times, Xbox One will prompt you to enter your Microsoft account password. Type your password.

Select Make a new passkey.

Enter a new passkey, and then enter it again to confirm.

if you don't know your password you'll have to reset that as well.

I'll give this a try. The issue I'm having is one of my child accounts no longer asks for the adult to allow permissions; it only ask for the password/pass key assigned to the child's acct. So I can't grant permissions, it only asks for the password and
pass key every time. Thanks for posting this; let's see if it solves my dilemma.

This is called your passkey. Whoever set the pass key up will need to enter this. If it was your parents I suggest asking them. Here is some
