Trying to add card. Xbox tells me “bank wont authorize transaction”. There’s no problem ...

I’ve been trying to purchase 3 months of Xbox live during the spring sale, but everytime I attempt to add my visa as a payment option Xbox tells me “my bank won’t authorize this transaction”. Which makes no sense because there’s no problem on the banks
end or with the card....so what’s the deal? Should I just get a ps4 instead?

It is not your card, you are correct, it is most likely the bank institution that is not allowing the card to be authorized by Xbox services. You'll have to contact the bank to get this situated out. The problem is that it won't authorize, the fix is to
get a hold of the bank and make sure they authorize Xbox transactions

The best thing to do is call your bank and tell them that you authorize Microsoft to make transactions via your card. This is especially an issue when you are given a new card from your bank, after you have reached the expiration date of your previous card.
If this isn't the issue, clear your system cache. If that doesn't work, then it's a problem on Microsoft's end. Wait a day or two and the problem will resolve itself.

i am getting same problem except i am using a credit card and it cant "authorize" or something liike that and when i try to add a new debit card it wont let me add it??? please help.....

Call your bank. Ask them if your card is cleared for online purchases. Make sure your billing information is up to date. And if everything looks good there, ask the bank if they see ANY transactions with Microsoft at the times you were attempting the purchase.
If they see transactions for $0.00, ask the bank to allow that transaction. Its the authorization charge. Most places will put a $1 hold for authorization, Microsofts systems do not. That confuses the bank systems sometimes.
