  1. Troubleshooting startup issues

Hey, so my xbox one has power but will not boot up. It powers on, says "almost there, finishing installing update then you will be good to go". After being on this screen for a few seconds, the screen goes blank and will not respond. I have tried pulling up the troubleshooting screen with little success. Takes roughly 10 minutes to get troubleshooting screen to appear but then the screen is unresponsive. Also, on said troubleshooting screen, it says "Something went wrong" and has a green box and a grey box with no other words or symbols and is completely unresponsive. Pressing and holding the power button on the controller does absolutely nothing.

If someone could please help me with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

    Troubleshooting startup issues

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

We may need to access the Xbox Troubleshooter page again and reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Make sure to follow the steps accordingly to access it:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button , and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please click on "Reset this Xbox" then "Reset and keep my games and apps".

    startup troubleshooting?

Hello again, this is usually done by sending the console to Microsoft's warranty, or if your console is no longer under warranty, you can use Microsoft's paid repair service or choose some technical assistance of your choice so that you can exchange the internal HD.

    startup troubleshooting?

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello FrostyDabs710, usually these types of errors like the E101, E102, E106 etc. poem be related to the damage to your internal HD console, are usually damaged clusters and the system cannot be installed.

I don't know which Xbox One model you own, if it's the original (Fat) it no longer has support by Microsofft because it's been discontinued, however from the Xbox S forward they have assistance from Microsoft.

    The Xbox Startup Troubleshooter

Hi, Ben_875! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

Unfortunately, performing an Offline System Update may be the only possible solution moving forward.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

    - Do you have any external storage units plugged into your console?

    - Have you already tried leaving your console unplugged for a few minutes and then attempting a reset? 5 - 10 minutes should be enough.

    - Did you, by any chance, receive any error codes when attempting the factory reset options?

Thank you! I'll be looking forward to your reply.
    Best regards.
