Trouble with xbox account location and billing.

Hi

I've recently decided to get Gamepass for PC due to the recommendation of a friend but ran into a rather strange problem. I live and work in Iceland, and my Microsoft account has Iceland set as it's region. But for some reason, my Xbox account seems to be
forever tied to the US, and I can't seem to find any way to change out of the US when adding a payment option on the Xbox app on PC. The only option for country/region when adding a payment option is the US, which leaves me unable to buy anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Normally you would need to migrate your account region to fix the issue, but Iceland is not supported by Live so it would not be possible to set your account region to Iceland or purchase Game Pass from Iceland.

Just to check, is it possible the region of your account is set to somewhere other than where you're physically located? If you're located somewhere else than where your account is set to, you may have trouble redeeming a currency code. To change the region

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this trouble. Unfortunately, according to the

Xbox LIVE Billing Information page you cannot change your country or region. I imagine this has to do with content licensing and availability.

Specifically it states:

You cannot change the country or region that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have switched countries and want to access Xbox LIVE from your new location, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new region.
