trouble with old xbox 360 profile

However, to link my old email address to my hotmail account is not possible as i can only link other hotmail email addresses to my hotmail account.

I tried to recover my old email address and was informed by the email address provider that it was not only deactivated but also terminated and not recoverable as i havent used it in 10+ years.

Is there any other way to help change my old xbox live email address? Perhaps microsoft could change it manually? Given that i can verify that it is my account via Identification card, phone number or facebook as i use the same email address there as i do on my xboxlive account.

Sorry to hear about your account issues, let's see what we can do to help you out.

So, a couple possibilities.

1) Change the email on the account

• If you can log into your account, I would recommend going and changing the email address at the account page here
  
• Once your logged in, go to your info in the top left-hand side
  
• Under the account info area in the middle, you can see your email addresses tied to the account
  
• Click edit account info
  
• Add a new email using the Add email button at the bottom
  
• Verify the email through the link they send you
  
• Once verified, make the new email your primary
  
• Then remove your old email. This should clean the account up and link it to your new email
  

I would recommend tying multiple emails to your account or at least a phone number so you can use them as logins if needed.

2) Recover your old email

Depending on who the provider is, there might be some better recovery options their support can give you. This would go above and beyond their recovery tools they list online. There also has been a level of success for some people when they attempted to recreate the email through the provider.

hi i know it's an old problem, still i just had same issues, as i i previously changed me DNS servers to google xbox live had troubles connecting when i put back to automatic and cleared xbox 360 profile data my games are working.

Only trouble is the old school graphics really stand out when you've just been playing on the One.

Thanks for coming to the forums with this issue. Glad you were able to find Skate 3 and get it installed. Since you're having trouble with the licensing for the digital version and are using Xbox One, then you may need to re-download your profile on the
360 emulator. To get to the 360 Guide on your Xbox One, simply launch any 360 game on your console and when you see the 360 loading screen, push the menu & view buttons (2 small buttons on controller's center) simultaneously for a few seconds. This should
bring up the 360 Guide on your screen.

Next you'll need to remove your profile via the emulator (much like on the old 360), then re-add or re-download it to the console via the emulator. This should refresh your profile for licensing to the 360 game. Here's a link for specific instructions on
