Trouble with my Xbox 360 Wireless Controller on my PC

I got a Xbox 360 Controller, i use it on my console but i've got problem today i tried to connect it to my PC, i installed the drivers and everything is OK, but when i go do Device Manager, my controller appears there, but when i try to do something with
my controller it doesn't work at all, and i check the connections on the drivers software and it doesn't detect it.

Help me please.

Halo 5: forge pc doesn´t detect my Gamepad xbox 360

hi.

I have Halo 5 forge for windows 10. when i connected the gamepad xbox 360 on my pc, the game don´t detected my gamepad.

in ohers games I can play without troubles with my gamepad. But only Halo 5 forge Don´t detected my xbox 360 controller.

PD: I have updated drivers .

I use pc wireless gaming receiver for gamepad xbox 360.

 

Few questions needed for answer before buying a wireless gaming receiver for PC

I current have a 2GB Slim Xbox 360 and my personal computer in the same room. I've also have two wireless Xbox controller and a charging station in the room.

I've read and heard that I can use my xbox 360 controller on my PC if I buy a wireless gaming receiver from Microsoft. I would like to own one and use it on my computer; however, I have some concerns that needed to be answer to save myself some trouble in
the future.

Since both of my Xbox and my PC are capable capture the controller when I turn the controller on with the guide button. How does the controller know which station am I aiming for? Will my Xbox and PC interference with each other?

Can I have one controller specifically for PC and the other for Xbox?

Hi,

The Xbox 360 wireless controller won't work with the play and charge kit on it's own on a PC. The Controller always remains wireless, it can't be changed to a wired controller. To use a 360 wireless controller you'll need an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver.
Microsoft no longer make these, but it is possible to buy a third party receiver, although installing them can be troublesome.

The Play and charge can be used with the PC, but only to charge the controller. The driver is only designed to automatically sync the controller to the Gaming receiver.

Only the Xbox One controller can be turned into a wired controller with an Xbox One Play and Charge, or a standard USB to Micro USB cable.
