Trouble with headset, I have Xbox one x

was playing last nite modern warfare and system crashed my xbox x had a complete shut down and only way to turn the console on was by the button on the xbox, all my settings have well not the same cant see to join party chats, any advice on how to getting
the headset working?? Guys

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Hello Deborah, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

It depends on the console. If he has an Xbox up to the One X then there should be an Optical Port on the back. Most sound bars will offer an optical in option for this as they offer a really good audio option for the console. If he's using the Xbox Series X or S then the Optical Port is not a feature so he would need to purchase either an Xbox compatable Wireless headset or a wired headset that can plug into his controller.

Polk have also fully partnered with Microsoft for their headset and sound bar for Xbox One. It certainly seems to be the favourite at the moment. The biggest trouble I'm having is that I can't find out if it's a wired headset or not!?

The audio button should still be located right under notifications, above xbox settings from the tab.

It only displays when you have a headset plugged into the controller. Some headsets ive trouble shot that they couldn't hear or talk that audio button would fail to show up.
