Trouble with adding friends.

When I try to add a friend on Xbox it says I added them, you know the “You’ve added this person as a friend” stuff, and when I go to their profile it says I still have to option to add them still. I figure out how to fix this. If anyone has had this problem, please, if you know, tell me how to fix this. It has been a problem for several months.

In order for us to check if it's an issue with your account or the Xbox console, please try adding a friend using a browser. Please go to https://account.xbox.com/profile then try adding a friend.

Hit the home button on your controller

Go to your friends app

Go to "My Profile" on the left hand side

On the right hand side you will see Destiny, click on it

The third option down says "Requires Invites" click on that and it will say "Set to Joinable"

You have successfully set your fireteam setting to public on the Xbox One

Keep in mind you will have to do this every time you log on and I hope this helps the Xbox One users

My friend sent friend request to me but I am seeing nothing on my side.

Please make sure that your account and privacy settings are set up correctly. You can simply sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and from there make sure that this setting are set to “allow” or “everyone”:

* You can add friends

Make sure to hit “submit” when you made any changes.

Also, the same goes for your friend.
