Trouble setting up party and using headsets

Hi. I got my kids some Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 headsets for Christmas. They each have an account on xbox and are setup as kids within the family. They each are friends with one another in xbox. I tried to set them up in a party last night (on different xbox consoles in the house) so they could use their new headsets. I was able to get them in a party but they could not communicate through the headset. On my daughters account it showed a warning that some settings may prevent her from communicating. I checked all the settings in the Xbox Family app and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to work. Thanks in advance.

Yes, they have each other on their friends list. I checked the family setting for each that they can communicate with Friends.

are they on each others friends list too, but also check the xbox family security sections for each account to make sure chat is not blocked in some way.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble hearing with your headsets. I would recommend doing two things. First go into settings then to display and sound and then volume. Make sure Party Chat output is set to headset. Second, and I only recommend this because
I find myself with this issue a lot, make sure to turn up your headphones to a comfortable level to listen to.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with audio settings for a headset.

In order to receive the audio settings through the Xbox, you will need to plug in the headset to the controller. Once you connect the headset to the controller you will be able to change any audio settings such as the Party chat volume. Unfortunately, when
you connect the headset to the tv you will only receive the audio from the TV.

Hi Deathstroke,

The audio button does not show up for all headsets. Mainly the ones it will not show up for are third party headsets. For example, I have two different ear buds I use. One shows up with audio, the other does not and they both work in my controller. If you
are unable to hear any sound, go to the Xbox settings under display and sound select audio output headset audio set to stereo uncompressed, along with HDMI and Optical audio. Under Volume make sure the party chat is set to headset. Other than this there is
no other options except updating controller with headset plugged in. Here is guide for
