Trouble logging in Family to Xbox Series S

Please can someone help.

We had a new xbox series S for Christmas. My account (Dad) is set up and works fine. Within the microsoft website I've created 2 child accounts and child account for my wife.

These were added to the console and worked fine for a couple of days.

It now says that these accounts needed to sign in, which I do, but it displays an error message about it needing to be fixed at live.account or something.

I've tried added and removing accounts, no luck.

I've tried restarting console (with and without power lead removed), no luck.

I've logged in to microsoft, nothing's changed and I can't see any issues with regards to security or verification etc.

No idea what to do, as we only have one account at the moment which is very annoying.

Any help much appreciated.

I'll answer my own question.

For some strange reason the accounts had been blocked.

I logged into microsoft using the child's login details and followed the steps to unblock the account.

Didn't think of this previously as when I logged in under my account, their accounts didn't show as blocked or that anything was wrong.

No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

The "One" and "Series" are the console types.

It actually would. There's an Xbox One, One S, and One X that are all in the same family. Then there is the Series S and Series X that are in a completely different family of consoles.

An Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X. The game will not work on an One X.
