Triggers on xbox one controller not registering when on Bluetooth

So the hair trigger lvl on my controller registers nothing no matter what I change it too on the app. the first and 2nd lvls if the trigger stop works fine. the third registers nothing no matter what I set the dead zones to. Is there anything I
can try before i exchange this for another one?

I'm having the exact same issue with my Elite 2 which arrived yesterday. Hair triggers do not work for either side. Have updated the firmware on the controller and when setting the triggers to hair trigger neither of them registers anything, even in the Xbox
accesories testing app. Very frustrating.

I randomly got the controller to stay connected. When I open the Xbox App it says "This controller is connected via Bluetooth. Connect a USB cable to configure it." When I click on the test button, none of the buttons are registering inputs. The "Game
Controllers" settings menu just lists a generic "Bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device" and does not register any inputs there either.

Well the only Xbox One accessories I can talk about are the updated controller (bluetooth and regular headphone jack) and the wireless adaptor (as bluetooth connection won't work on Windows 8.1.)

They're great. Both are well built, easy to connect to your PC and are recognised by default in most games. To be honest though I think I prefer my wired Xbox 360 controller, there is just something about the triggers on the One controller that feel off to
me but I'm guessing that will change as I use them more.

Please check if the computer registers the controller's trigger as an analogue axis properly.

To do that, open your Start menu and type "control" to show the control panel app.

Open the Control panel and in the search bar in the upper right, type "Game" and open the control panel for Game controllers.

Find your connected controller and test the controller.

Check that the gauges move if you press the Triggers. Make sure that the gauge really moves according to how much you press the trigger.

The trigger is not an on/off thing, but an analogue input, like a throttle or brake pedal in a car. The more you press it, the higher the value the controller sends to the PC.

And if a game uses the trigger as a digital switch (like the trigger of a gun), it might be that due to miscalibration the trigger doesn't reach the value threshold for it to register as being "pressed".

it's not a problem of the controller, it can be paired with the PC with no issue, unfortunately with the latest firmware is no more recognized as an Xbox controller when connectd using bluetooth

In the joypad configuration panel when is wired connect it is reported as a "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)", when connected using bluetooth is reported as a generic "6-axis 16-buttons game pad with hat switch"

With previous firmware version it was reported as "Controller (Xbox One For Windows)" for both (even when connected with bluetooth)

It's a firmware bug
