Tried Numerous GTA V games/discs but still "Unrecognizable"

I am a young single mom of 2 boys who LOVE their video games, especially their Xbox 360! About 6 mos ago broke down and allowed my oldest to play GTA 4 then soon after GTA 5. Bought the games preowned from Game Stop w/ warranties and at first, never had
any kind of problems/errors with either gen. Several wks after getting and playing GTA 5, it suddenly started to having this "Disc is unreadable" and "Unrecognizable disc" error pop on the screen. Of course, just like a CD or DVD, I tried cleaning it off properly
(doing this numerous times in fact) and every single time the same error msgs came up. So I took the GTA 5 game back to Game Stop to replace it since I got the warranty. It was replaced. Came home and after only the very first time of putting it in the 360,
the same exact error msgs popped up like before. Still kept trying to several times over a 2 day period. This time I took pictures of the error msgs so when I went back to Game Stop AGAIN, they could see for themselves. It was replaced yet again, got back
home, and SURPRISE...still the same stupid error msgs. Out of all the gazillion Xbox 360 games they have, this is the only one that we have this issue with. GTA 4 isn't even doing this. Now, I don't know much about Xboxes and consoles and all. I only just
know how to navigate when on it to get my youngest son all set up and ready to play since he still doesn't quite know how to. My oldest son knows the Xbox really well as far as navigating through things and where different things are and how to get to it but
as far as the console itself and all that he doesn't know anything. So if there's something, ANYTHING, that we can try doing to potentially fix this issue then we'd be forever grateful!! P.S. I will definitely need to be told step by step on how to try doing
things though since I'm not a gamer or anything lol. Sorry

P.S. also from looking it up GTA V came on 2 discs one for installation and the second to have in the system while playing you may want to make sure you have the correct disc inside the system

I don't understand how people can go through so many consoles. I have only gone through 2 consoles since its launch. One was the RRoD on original and then the Disc Drive issues with a Xbox 360 Elite. The disc unrecognizable error is your disk though, clean
your disk. Just because you have disc unrecognizable doesn't mean that your entire Xbox is broken, unless its the actual disc drive. Can you play other games? GTA V is a good reason to keep an Xbox 360. Not going next-gen, not anytime soon anyways.

UPDATE:

Both GTA V discs won't read.

Assassins creed (the first one) Will read.

When I put assassins creed in, it doesn't say "play game" like GTA is doing. It actually says play assassins creed.

I tried playing Battlefield 3.

It said "play game" instead of saying play battlefield 3.

But when I launched it it still played.

I tried playing guitar hero warriors of rock.

Instead of saying "play game" it says play GH warriors of rock

And it plays fine.

I tried playing Black Ops 1.

It said play game instead of play black ops.

It also says disc read error.

That disc is dirty but I've played it numerous times so I would think it still works.

This exact same thing is happening to me and I don't know why. I've tried everything microsoft and 2k has been able to tell me and nothing works. the first disc I had was totally unrecognizable. the second disk is sometimes recognized by my xbox but will
not play and will not install past 12%. all of my other games work fine. old games, new games, including GTA V. I don't have another xbox around to try the disc on. I just want to play the game. or get my money back at this point. Can't wait to switch to

That's a good answer from the posters above me, but GTA Online will just be a free DLC that players will download and then play (of course, you still need the installed game and the game disc for GTA V).
