Trend Micro detecting virus on Microsoft Store download

I had initially whitelisted it however, then there were several random internet calls which the firewall stopped. That is when i uninstalled application and that trend micro perform any clean up.

I recently downloaded Stellaris on PC from the microsoft store. As soon as I try to install, Trend Micro detects HEU_AEGISCS216 in the "paradox.exe" executable. I am
not able to find if this is a known problem or an infected file from microsoft. Any help would be appreciated.

Some games might give a false positive. You will need to whitelist the executable file. Stellaris is an official game from Paradox Studios.

It was pretty quickly, although it could have been a few minutes. I started the install and then stepped away from the computer for a bit while it was installing. When I returned, I didn't notice the issue until I had opened defender, but the timestamp shows it was about the time of installing, 6/18/2022 11:27 AM.

I can try to install the same packages on my laptop to see if similar results are indicated, but it is a bit concerning to say the least.

Actually, as I look through the list of the protection history, the only things showing up are in the XBoxGames folder:

I understand, but that would be unusual, so it's probably a coincidence, but you can also use the report form on the store to share that possibility

When you installed the add on was detected or was detected after some time? As this would be detected immediately by windows defender during the installation process if was installed with the add on
