Transporting Games

I have a PC and a laptop, on both of which I am signed into my xbox account and have Steam downloaded and a game called Hollow Knight (its the same profile on both so I can play on either). I have noticed that Hollow Knight is also available on Xbox and
I would also like to be able to play it on there. My question is both whether I can transport my game onto my xbox (without paying again) and if I can pick up on the same account. Thanks.

Since that is not a Play Anywhere title, you would have to purchase the game for the Xbox in order to play it on the Xbox.

Only games that are Play Anywhere can be purchased digitally on either the console or PC but be played on both without having to repurchase them. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-play-anywhere?xr=shellnav

Hey there,

It should be noted that Steam titles are used through a separate provider, so they would not register through Microsoft/Xbox in the same way an Xbox Play Anywhere title would.
