    Transferring username, account from Xbox 360 to Xbox 1


    My son was having an issue this weekend, transferring his user name, account, etc. from his Xbox 360 into his Xbox 1. For some reason we couldn't get the account information we have with the 360 to transfer or create into the Xbox 1. I thought I had it registered
    under my email address but for some reason the password and address couldn't be verified. Please assist, I would hate to lose the live membership and have to buy another one. Thank you.

    Can You use the same profile on the Xbox One?

    Can you use the same Xbox Live profile on the Xbox One, and the Xbox 360?

    I am asking because when i bought my Xbox One. i did not even try to sign in with my Xbox 360 account. Simply because i thought that it would not be possible. Now i am seeing some of the same people from the Xbox 360, on the Xbox one.

    Are they just using the same username? Or is it the same account?

    1. The Data Transfer Kit will transfer content from Original Xbox 360 to Original Xbox 360, or from Original Xbox 360 to Xbox 360 S. :)

    2. The data is moved, not copied, so the content will not remain on the source drive.

    3. All data will be transferred.

    Sorry, this is not possible to do. The use of the license transfer system in this way is not prohibited. A license transfer cannot be used to transfer one piece of content from one console to another. It transfers all licenses from one Xbox 360 to another Xbox
    360, not from one Xbox LIVE account to another Xbox LIVE account.

    Gamertags cannot be transfered to other accounts, but you can migrate a 360 account to an xbox 1 one .
