    Transferring Licenses from a Broken Console to a Working One


    About a week ago, the hdd on my One S failed and the console is completely unusable. While I could afford to pay the repair costs for the console, I'm considering getting a refurbished S or a Series X if available. Will the license transfer work between them despite one console not functioning? I can't seem to find anything that assuages my specific concerns regarding this. Thanks in advance.

    Transfer from Console A to Console B through the License Transfer works.

    Transfer from Gamertag X to Gamertag Y will not work.

    because of the license transfer

    all offline licenses will only work on the other console

    you will have to wait for the 4months before you can do it again

    all the dlc on your current console will only work while online

    this prevents people from sharing dlc

    only one offline license is given. and only can be used by one console

    any other console must have the purchasing gamertag signed into live

    with the license transfer all licenses are transfered

    your console will only have the gamertag license

    Hi, no it is not possible to transfer licenses from one account to another. The only license that can be transferred is from a console to another console.
