Transferring game scores from adult to child's account (for time restrictions)

Hi.

When we first got our xbox one console my son played through my account, which was set up as an adult account. Now we wish to have a time monitor option and made him his own player account ,set up as a childs account. My son doesn't wish to start over and
loose his original games scores. How can I either change my original account over to be his child account OR transfer his game scores from mine to his account? Kind regards, Soelve Saether

[Guide] Parental Controls

Parents are able to modify a child's account by changing their privacy settings. To do this the parent must sign into their Microsoft account. Once the parent has signed in. Click on the menu button on your controller and then click onto
Settings.

Once you have clicked onto your settings , click onto
Family. Then select the child's profile. This will then show you the current restrictions of their profile.

You are able to make changes to the child's profile by using different default settings for the account. As Listed below. This will be found under "Privacy"

- Child

- Teen

- Adult

- Custom

Parents can also customize the default of the settings they have chosen.

Parents can also change the child's restrictions for the child's profile. By selecting
"Access to content". Here the adult will be able to change the restrictions for apps and games etc. You are also able to change the level of the restriction. For their profile.

Parents can also customize the child's web filtering. Under content restrictions.

xBox 1 screen time settings not working

I have set the screen time restrictions for my child's profile via my family settings online. These time restrictions are not taking effect on my child's Xbox 1 profile. (I have reset, rebooted and confirmed the correct account is being used.)

Profile data can't be transferred between two accounts, I'm afraid; in addition, the age of the account is based on the birth date that was entered at account creation, and wouldn't change, even if that date is changed in the profile settings later.

In this case, you can have your son create a new account, and set the console he plays on as the

Home console for your account. That way, your son will still be able to access the games he played via your account, while playing on that console with his own account.

Hello Plirtz,

We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning your child playing on an adult account that is currently setup with screen time limits and restrictions to your liking, but you would like the same setup for your child's very own account.

Account information such as saved game data, Gamerscore, and overall accomplishments cannot be transferred between accounts.

The adult account does have the ability to be added to the family as a child to continue the same restrictions.

Try this and let us know if this works.

Hi, is your account under parental controls ?

If that's the case then the parental account will need to sign in and change any restrictions on your account.

If that's not the case and your account is an adult account and you also have a child account signed in that has content restrictions set then those restrictions will also affect the adult account until the child account signs out.

If your account is a "child account", and is associated with a "parent/adult account", you may likely be restricted from making various purchases on the Xbox Store.

There also may be settings (that the parent/adult account may only modify) that can restrict the child account from accessing content based on the ESRB rating.

I'd check in with the owner of the parent/adult account to see if they can help you pre-order Rise of Iron.

It is not possible to convert an adult account to a child account. You would need to create a new child account. There is no way to transfer any of the saves or gamerscore to the new account from the adult account.
