You need to proof ownership for your Microsoft account
So, I think something that could help is having screenshots of you signed in, know the most frequented contacts / email addresses.
Those screenshots may helps.

Probably the hacker changed the alias linked to your account. Because any contents transfer between Microsoft accounts can't be made.
You need to find and that account first.
But please note that here in the public forums no one can assist you with this process / tell your the specific email / modify or share account details due to privacy and security policies
If you have important proof of ownership for that account (emails, important screenshots, etc)
You can try opening a 1:1 chat with Microsoft support and explain them the situation from here:

If you're not able to prove your ownership, unfortunately you may need to create a new account

Now that you mention it, I did get an email saying my primary alias was changed, but I looked far and wide in my account everywhere, and I see no trace of his email ever existing there, so I pretty much ruled that out. Thanks for clearing that for me.

As for this 1:1 chat, what kind of proof would you say is needed in a situation like this? I have all sorts of ways to prove my ownership of my Minecraft account, but they probably wouldn't care for that since they sent me away last time when I put too much emphasis on needing help with Minecraft (at least I assume that's what I did wrong). I can show them my entire conversation with the scammer including the fake link he sent me, the emails I received alerting me of suspicious activity in my account, as well as my phone number being linked to my account through 2fa.

Would you say all of that is enough, or will they ask me for a photo of me holding up my ID card and today's newspaper? :"D

Yes, all attempts at recovery were denied by the Microsoft account team. The message was that the final update to my attempt of recovery of the account was denied because they couldn’t verify ownership. Several attempts waiting the 24 hour period between attempts. If Microsoft will not transfer the content of an account that they closed then they have stolen the content of that account haven’t they?
