Transferred data to new Xbox Series S and one profile is not migrating properly

Had an old Xbox One that we just upgraded with an Xbox Series S. Ran through the migration wizard at power up via the android Xbox App and on screen prompts. It found the old Xbox and user profiles and migrated them. No issue. My problem is when I go to fire up the Xbox that of the four accounts in our family, only my son's account no longer shows his avatar or other profile info. It's just a generic "pawn" gamer pic and no avatar. He can login and I see his profile account name. I can also start a game as him.

How do I get his account to show?

If you access to the profile customization option in the console. Are you able to see everything good there? (The name and the picture)

No bueno. I will add that he can still log in and play. Just no personalization from his profile is showing up. All three other accounts on the Xbox work normally. Logging off and on again do nothing. "Have you tried turning it off and on again" for the Xbox itself shouldn't be the answer to this issue and, as expected, does not solve it.

PS: make sure to know the email and password for the account. They're required once you want to re-add it
