  1. Transfering games from Xbox One to Series X using Seagate HDD and the Series X States I do...

I bought this 4 terabyte Seagate HDD for the xbox one and accrued 87 games, some from when I had the game pass. I did some research and I found that just plugging it into the new Xbox Series X should work. It did not.

I attempted to play one of the games, lets say Star Wars Battlefront 2, and it stated that I didnt own the game and to go to the store and purchase it, when I already have it installed on the harddrive.

I have attempted logging out of my account and logging back in. I have attempted updating the games, but it does not allow me to and just directs me into the store. I have also attempted to remove my account turn my xbox on and off again and reenter me account. And also reset my xbox and keep all the games and apps. Still nothing.

    Next gen storage

Let me help you on Amazon a 12 terabyte seagate internal HDD is 279 for a PC, while also on Amazon a 1 terabyte seagate “memory card” is 200 for the Xbox series S/X. Now that I’ve done your research for you still think it’s a fair price? Or let me put it into a better point a 1 terabyte seagate HDD for a PC on Amazon is at most 80 bucks.
You are not comparing like-for-like..you are comparing old technology to new technology...it would be like saying a 4k UHD movie disc should not be £25 because a normal Blu-Ray is only £5. The Seagate External Series S/X SSD is not a HDD...those things in comparison are pitifully slow. This drive would be a rough equivalent of the Expansion card and has an RRP of £200:

    https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-FireCuda-Internal-Solid-State/

And no-one says you have to buy the Expansion card...you can store Series X/S games on a normal drive, you just can't run them from a normal HDD due to the slow speeds of the HDD.

To compare, the drive I listed above has a read speed of 7300 megabytes per second; A Seagate Barracuda 1TB drive has a read speed of 210 megabytes per second. There is a vast difference between the drives....Series S/X games simply wouldn't run at all well on a normal HDD...frankly, Xbox One games were slow on the HDDs in Xbox One consoles (my One X is painfully slow compared to the Series X)

    Xbox Series S

Yes but not for series s enhanced ones or.patched games

You would.need.the seagate nvme card for series x/s

Normal usb hdd drives can only be used on bc titles

    Transfer

I bought immortals fenyx rising on my xbox one and it won't transfer or start on my xbox series x.
To allow us to help you, can you explain how you are trying to transfer the game to your Series X console? And whjat happens when you try to transfer them? Take us through the steps you are trying.

    As a quick guide:

To transfer from XBOX One to Series consoles, both consoles must be powered ON and connected to the same home network.

On your Series X console, go to MY GAMES & APPS>MANAGE>NETWORK TRANSFER

Ensure that ALLOW NETWORK TRANSFER is ticked, and then select your XBOX One console from the LOCAL CONSOLES list on the top right of the page.

You should now see all the games installed on your XBOX One console, simply check which ones you wish to transfer, and then click COPY SELECTED. If you are given more than one option where to store the selected games, choose the relevant destination drive. Series S/X specific games can be saved on any drive but MUST be played from the internal SSD or the official Seagate Expansion Card so it's less hassle to save them there rather than an external HDD or third-party SSD. Older games can be saved on any drive. Pay close attention to the size of the file, or files, you are transferring, and that there is sufficient space on the destination drive to store them.

The files will now transfer and you will see progress bars. A wired connection will give you faster transfer times. Once completed, the games should appear in your MY GAMES AND APPS lists on the Series X, and be playable as normal.

If the games do not play, make sure that you are signed into your Series X console with XBOX profile that purchased the games originally. Also make sure you are launching the game from either the internal SSD or the official Seagate Expansion Card, as Series X/S versions of games will not work from other, slower SSDs or hard drives as they are not fast enough.

Seagate External HDD not recognised by Series X

Seagate "Game Drive for Xbox" 2TB Portable HDD. It is 3.0 USB and the box states that it is designed for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.It works if I download a game direct to HDD but it won't open games that I have moved across - not optimised. Optimised game downloaded direct, does open and play.

External Storage for Xbox One and Xbox S

You can use a hard drive that is USB 3.0 or 3.1 It doesn't have to be an SSD. I have a regular HDD myself and it works fine.

On the Series S/X, Series S/X games and upgraded One games will only run from the internal drive or the Seagate Expansion Card. You can still store the games on a USB storage device and move it to the internal to play if needed.
