Transfer Ori and the Blind Forest gamepass save game to Steam

Hello, everyone!

I've seen some questions about how to get Ori save file from Xbox Game Pass and put it on Steam folder and I tried something that made sense in my mind and it worked!

You've been had trouble about the format of the files to transfer and how to make it be the same file type. So, here is the tip that worked for me:

First of all, you have to find both file locations in your PC. There are some tutorials in other discussions and questions answers, but is basically: Xbox -> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.OriandtheBlindForestDefinitiveEdition\SystemAppData\wgs

Steam -> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Ori and the Blind Forest

Before the next step, I recommend you to start a game save in your steam game to generate a save file. It will make easier to identify the file format you'll have to make to transfer your save.





After your save is ready, you can go to your game pass save location and you'll have to choose the most recent file in the folder that will appear with random numbers and letters. Just enter that and pick the most recent file that also have random numbers and letters as title.











As showed, I chose the most recente file. After that, you'll copy this file and paste in your steam folder. I made like this because I didn't want to lose this save, so I didn't rename the original file.





Finally, you have to rename this file like the first save you made before. In my case, my first save is "saveFile0.sav". So you can delete it and put this name on your xbox save or you can edit the xbox save name to "saveFile1.sav". It's extremely important that you write correct and with the certain capital letters.





And this will make your xbox save appear in your game like this:
