Transfer of XBox account ->NEED HELP

My Xbox gold subscription is currently linked to an old email address that was revoked when we switched from one provider to the other. At the time I had forgotten to transfer the XBox subscription to the new account.

Now I am unable to access my XBox gold (even though I am paying for the service!) as it requires a system update which keeps referring to the old email address that does not exist anymore. I am unable to transfer to a new account as it requests for confirmation from the old email address that is no longer there.

I tried contacting MS but the AI does not seem to recognize how to handle this.

Is there anyone who knows what to do or how to get in touch with a MS person who can help me with this?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. It is important to keep your account information secure and up-to-date. The email address associated with your account should be an active address you use and have access to, and you should also have alternative recovery methods in case you lose access to the primary email on your account.

You can sign in to your account online from the following link to change the email address: https://account.live.com/names/manage

If you are unable to access your account settings and don't have any alternative verification methods on your account, you will need to use the account recovery form to try recovering access: https://account.live.com/acsr

You can try this form up to 2 times per day. However, if you're unsuccessful in recovering your account, you will need to create a new account and contact your bank to cancel further payments for Xbox Game Pass.

From my experience here's what I did. Not sure if it will help but here goes....

When I moved house I had to close my broadband account, open a new account, then reassign the old name to the new account. (my broadband supplier is pretty stoneage for this kind of thing)

This meant I didn't have access to my normal e-mail address for a few weeks.

As far as xbox live is concerned, I decided to use another e-mail address that I COULD get to.

To do this I had to:

Add the new address and password to my microsoft account.

Make this address my new primary login

Delete the old e-mail details (optional)

In my case the old log in still works, but I didn't have a security issue.
