Trading Gems for microsoft rewards credits

I'm trying to trade up MY VIP Gems to rewards credits but I'm hitting this error.

I did manage to 'redeem' one lot of gems to credits 250>5000. However, the Gems are gone and the credits have yet to arrive. Is there an easier way of trading them all up? (especially as the virtual rewards keep going out of stock before I can make it work.)

From what I can see I have 1024 gems and about another 950 claimed but not deposited; which I'd like to trade up before the deadline; but doesn't seem likely to happen if the rewards store doesn't work.

What's the difference between Microsoft Rewards points and Xbox Live Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems?

One Microsoft Rewards point is equal to one Xbox Live Rewards Credit. Microsoft Rewards points can be redeemed whenever you want for the rewards you choose from the Microsoft Rewards catalog, including Microsoft Store digital gift cards. Xbox Live Rewards
Credits are automatically converted to your local currency every two weeks and deposited in your Microsoft account, while MyVIP Gems could be redeemed for items in the MyVIP Vault.

Looking at my Microsoft account the 5,000 Rewards Credits isn't showing

I have 3,428 (That I already earned)

395 definitely doesn't add up to 5000+

Apologies for the inconvenience. Due to a large amount of users claiming prizes at the same time, you may have seen an error message as a result. Our web tam is currently working on resolving this issue. We hope to have this issue resolved shortly. Regarding
your one redemption, from the FAQ on Vault Credits:

I claimed Rewards Credits from the vault. When will I receive them?

If you claim Rewards Credits from the MyVIP Vault, they should appear as pending in your account within 96 hours. Once they are pending in your account, the normal deposit process kicks in. Generally if you have over 5,000 Rewards Credits pending in your
account in the first half of any given month, that amount will be converted to your local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 30th of that same month. If the Credits show as pending in the second half of the month, that amount
will be deposited into your Microsoft account on or around the 15th of the next month.

Please note you need at least 5,000 Rewards Credits pending to automatically trigger a deposit, though you can request a deposit for the next scheduled date as long as you have 1,000 Credits pending. Also, if you have ongoing issues with us depositing
into your account, such as your account not matching up with your billing location, you might want to consider choosing a different prize from the vault, as we won’t be able to deliver your Rewards Credits until the deposit issue is resolved.

Your second screenshot is of Microsoft Rewards. Xbox Live Rewards is currently still separate. As mentioned in the FAQ, the final transition will occur at the end of June.

Those are for gems which are not the same as rewards credits.

So what are the gems? As in the email it states that they will be transferred across to microsoft reward credits. I thought it had some affect on the rewards I recieve?

Since being introduced in October, Gems have never had a Credit or currency value assigned to them. They can only be spent on purchases from the Vault. However, we realize that users have grown attached to their Gems, so when you are transitioned to Microsoft
Rewards, they will be converted into points. Note that Microsoft Rewards points and Xbox Live Rewards Credits are not the same. Your Gems will not be converted into Xbox Live Rewards Credits if you choose to remain in the Rewards programs, but will be converted
into Microsoft Rewards Points.

Gems have no currency value and were only used to obtain items from the Vault. Due to user feedback, if you opt out of the program, 1 Gem will become 1 Reward Credit, not 10 Rewards Credits. Since this is also the conversion rate for Gems to Microsoft Points
(1:1). Gems have never been worth 20 Rewards Credits. As you request, we will leave the thread unlocked, but cannot guarantee a response.
