TP-Link TP-Link TD-W8901G: Xbox one update virus vulnerability?

Had a similar issue to this, I went onto the web page of my internet browser and I was able to change my router as well as ipv4&6 settings in there

I have the fios quantum gateway i am having the same issue ipv6 enabled but xbox one x still says ipv4

Just because its enabled in your router doesnt mean you have it.

Your ISP might not support it or your router might be configuered wrong.

Use a web browser on your PC and do an ipv6 test.

Go to https://test-ipv6.com/

It will give you a score out of 10 for your ipv6 connectivity.

My guess is you dont have 10 out of 10.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown YES

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT? not now. the nat was fixed

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? arnet

My advice would be if you need to do multiplayer that you send the router back. It does not work with XBOX.

I have tried UPNP, DMZ, and manually forwarding all the ports. Nothing works.

I did manage to get the DMZ to work for a few days and then it stopped.

To be fair to TP-LINK I don't think the problem is theirs I think it is the XBOX as the DMZ and port forwarding works with other servers and other services. By all means contact the TP-LINK support they are very helpful, and perhaps they can get Microsoft
to help

The TP-Link TD8840T is a combined xDSL modem with router/NAT built-in. So far so good, but since your friend also have an additional router/NAT (Linksys wrt1900ac) which terminates into an existing router/NAT (TP-Link TD-8840T), inbound/outbound traffic will
be NAT'd twice. Multiple levels of NAT in a home environment should be avoided.
