ToS issues for an app inside the Xbox store

Good morning,

recently a Youtuber opened a repo on GitHub [mod removed] where you can access a link that refers to an app inside the Microsoft Store.
This would be an alternative store with direct links to other apps always available on the Store.

The problem is that these apps, in terms of Microsoft policies, break the ToS.
Let's talk about Retroarch: a well-known PC emulator that allows you to emulate practically all the old generation consoles (including Playstation), Moonlight: an app that allows you to stream PC content on the console using the Nvidia shield features and a series of porting of Sonic titles.

The biggest problem lies in the fact that many Youtubers have made a lot of videos of these services to the point of having it downloaded to many people, it happened that my little brother who shares my same Xbox console has naively downloaded all the apps inside my account that rightfully shares over 10 years of payments and services.

Honestly, I would be a little worried about the situation and would like a certain answer from you and how I can intervene to avoid unpleasant incidents to my account. Currently I have manually removed all the apps from the console, but they remain present in the history of purchases made on the account.

Possibly then if the instant removal of the apps from the Store is possible, otherwise soon there will be further cases of people who will download these apps by breaking the ToS without even realizing that they have done so.

Microsoft usually take downs those apps from the store from time to time

As you said, those apps breaks ToS. The best option for you (in terms of not receive an account suspension) is simply don't download those apps again and delete them from your console.

To avoid unwanted installations from your little brother, add a passkey in your console

In that way the Microsoft Store team will be aware more quickly about it

Please make sure your using the store on your PC and searching for "Xbox Beta" or 'Xbox App Beta". They should be available in the Windows Store.

What issue is the Xbox App presenting? Is it still prompting you for a TOS or is it just failing to sign in?

It happened when I opened the Xbox Insider app on September 5. The quest was there but the Avatar app wasn't. I looked in both the Insider content and on the Xbox store and wasn't able to find it. I found the old Avatar app though on the store.

Can you confirm for me if this problem also happens in other first-party applications, like the Xbox Store app or the Edge app for instance?

If the problem is only happening inside of third-party apps, then it may very well be outside of Xbox's jurisdiction. You will need to submit the feedback directly to those app developers that are having issues with the highlighting inside of their apps.
