    Took apart Xbox controller, now can’t put it back together. HELLP


    This summer, I got bored and decided to change the shell on my Xbox one elite controller from black to white. I watched a few tutorials and read a few forum posts and then I felt ready to go. I followed all the steps and took it apart properly (or so I think)
    and after putting it back together, it no longer worked. Whenever I pressed the right bumper or left trigger, it would basically keep performing the action that it would have done, even though I let go of the button. Also both thumb sticks are now all wonky
    and don’t work super well either. I just would like to know if it is repairable or I should trash it and get it replaced. Thanks

    Does xbox one offer System Link (to physically connect 2 or more Xbox one's together for LAN multiplayer)?

    Han (to Chewbacca): What do you mean took it apart? Put it back together right now!

    For 12 years, an Xbox has had system link, and you take it out?! Put the system link back in, and get cracking!

    Controller won't sync after being taken apart

    I took my control apart because the left analog would drift. When I put the controller back together it wouldnt sync to the Xbox one. I tried updating It, hard restart, re-syncing it, starting the Xbox up with the controller, nothing works. The only way
    the controller works is by hooking it up via usb to the console. Can anyone help me?

    When you took it apart did you clean it all? If not clean it with surgical spirits / alcohol let it dry and put it back together.

    I have the same problem but I can get mine to keep flashing. It may be because my sister's boyfriend took it apart and put it back together again but I don't know.

    Yeah, my character does this, too. He was drifting to the right a lot. Sometimes, he would slowly look down. I took apart my controller, checked everything, cleaned it a little, put it back together and then tried it on Blacklight. It worked just fine. It's
    still happening a tiny bit on BF3, though.
