    To anyone considering joining the Insider program and have concerns.


    I have been on the insider program for a number of years now, I was lucky enough to get into the Alpha Skip Ahead pretty early on, and I have been in this Ring on 2 of my Xbox's.

    I have only ever once come across one issue, and this was due to letting one of my consoles miss several updates, and then it got stuck in the unable to update to version number loop.

    .

    For this all I did was, sign out that particular Xbox from the Insider program using the PC Insider App, and then restart the Xbox, and let it download the update automatically. This shows that even when things go bad, they are easily fixed, had to wait a little bit (30 mins) for the Xbox to unregister so it would detect its not in the program, and then let it update correctly.

    .

    So for those wondering if its worth it, from a technical stand point, your not going to find the Insider program bricking your system, unless there is a underlying technical fault with your hardware (failing drive), and if you find yourself in a situation unable to update due to versions, its easy to resolve as well.

    .

    If your wanting to see the latest and greatest and help fnid the bugs and report them to build a better UI, then definitely you will enjoy being part of the Insider group. Just make sure you update as soon as an update is available and dont leave your Xbox switched of to long without Internet, as you may find yourself with one of the very BIG updates.

    If you are looking to test new versions of the Xbox One dashboard on your console then you should join the Xbox Insider program and this will allow you help with testing the new console software updates.

    To join the insider program download the Xbox Insider Hub app on your console and enrol your console through the app, Once you have joined the program when your XP level and tenure are high enough you will be able to join the beta tier of the program.
